Double sided pass through fume hoods are designed to be used for experiment setup and preparation in high school laboratory/prep room settings. Equipment is set up on the prep room side of the laboratory in order to allow experiments be observed in the classroom.

The hood is designed to be operated with each sash at 18” open. A sash interlock is provided so that only one sash can be opened at one time.

It should be noted that double sided/pass through fume hoods do not offer the same level of operator protection as a single sided fume hood with a rear baffle system.
